EVENTS AND EXHIBITIONS
There are many, many IT Trade Shows. Technology Manufacturers, particularly those targeting Consumer customers rather than Business to Business Manufacturers, frequently use them to provide their customers with extensive contact with their products . All exhibitions and events involve a hiatus of activity just before the start, involving stand builders, lighting riggers, and exhibition specialists, and a mad scramble at the end.
The IT equipment is often the star of the show, there would be no show if the equipment was not there. Therefore the job of getting equipment set-up beforehand, safely into the event, in the allotted time window, and out of the event, again, in the allotted time window, and making sure all equipment is accounted for, is crucial. TRAINING
Not surprisingly Training events and Seminars pop up as activities to support for Education focussed Technology Manufacturers and others. Frequently a lot of equipment is involved, for a date some weeks in the future. This takes planning and review to ensure that equipment is identified as being needed for an event, without preventing any other use of that equipment in the period leading up to it… this would significantly adversely impact the utilisation of the loan pool equipment in the loan pool period
